Fig Tree Tattoo

I drew this fig tree for my dear friend Preston.  

I had such a blast tattooing this on him.  He's the amazing chef of Freemans, Peels and Isa in Williamsburg.  He brought me fresh baked bread and peach butter.  It's good to be friends with chefs.

Maple Tree Tattoo

Cardinal Tattoo

I drew this cardinal this week for Nick.  We didn't tattoo it because I still need to make some final adjustments to the design, but I'm pretty excited about it.

Sabotage

The bowery movement after party was a blast.  This was an impromptu performance of the Beastie Boys Sabotage by Nash Hogan who was joined by Sweety and Karen.

The Bowery Movement 

This is Cliff Whites Flash from the Bowery book.  Dave had this amazing idea - and the Bowery Movement was born.  So the idea was that everyone put there name in a hat.  We drew names and determined who was going to tattoo who.  The tattooer chose the tattoo from the book, the tattooee was blindfolded and didn't see what they were getting until the tattoo was complete.  It was a blast!

After a year break, Angelica finally came back to color in her Mexican shell flowers, and Puerto Rican Flamboyant flowers.  I was so happy to work on it again.  One more sitting to go.

Key Lime Pie

I made two key lime pies.  One for Dave for his birthday and one for Sweety to eat at home.  They look like boobs.  I think it's funny.

Everybody's gettin tattooed

And Dave tattooed Karen as part of our "Bowery Movement" (we all drew names and each artist picked the tattoo they would do from Cliff White's Bowery Tattoo Flash book.  The tattoo was completely up to the artist.  The official event is not until next week, Karen was just too excited to wait!)

Trout tattoo

I started this rainbow trout on Mark this week.  There are actually two of them chasing each other around his arm but I didn't get a good photo.  More to come.

Hair braiding

Sophie and I each had a no show at the same time so we did what all girls do when they suddenly find themselves at work with nothing to do - we braided each others hair.  

Maple Leaves and Waterfalls on Brother Dave

I started a half sleeve on my brother, Dave.  This was not his first tattoo but it was the first time I tattooed him.  It was very stressful for me coming up with the drawing.  I had a lot of fun once we started tattooing.  It's great to get to hang with my brother like this, although my mother is going to kill me!

I did this tiny ship and anchor this week.  It's hard to tell because of the split image but it's on a forearm.

Chocolate covered pineapple

Sweety had this amazing idea.  We melted down some dark chocolate and drizzled it over freshly cut pineapple.  We put it in the fridge and 3 hours later it was the best painting night snack break ever!
