"The Twins" aka Conch and Anchor tattoos

I did these 2 etching tattoos this week on Christian who is now referring to them as "the twins".  Pretty cool first tattoos for him.  I had a blast doing these and really hope that this is the start of many more tattoos for Christian.

BBQ tacos

Our week of BBQing continues.  We made BBQ pork tacos with BBQed pineapple salsa.  Delicious.

Pork Burgers are back!

The weather has been beautiful so we are spending as much time in front of the bbq as possible.  Our favorite invention - the pork burger, ground pork mixed with ground bacon and garlic on a potato roll with homemade coleslaw and potato salad.  Soooo good!

This was such a blast to do on Dane.  He was such a trooper and sat through almost 7 hours total of tiny tiny line.

Homemade Girl Scout Cookies

Last week I had an actually Samoa girl scout cookie.  Ever since I have been obsessing - so I had to make these.  They were pretty damn good.

Ramen is the perfect food - especially right after you get tattooed.  This is from Minca on 5th street in the East Village.  Sooo good!

Knee Cap Tattoos Suck

I got my knee cap tattooed.  Patrick Conlon has been working on a piece that takes up the entire right side of my body.  We are very close to the end.  Just some fun bits left, like my knee cap.  Check out his work - he's amazing!

Indian Half Sleeve part 2

I got to work on this Indian inspired half sleeve again.  The pictures aren't great but I love this elephant run down his arm.  Better pics to follow.

Off the Wagon

This is what falling off the wagon looks like at our house . . . homemade corn chowder with roasted pork shoulder.  Yeah, it was completely worth it.

Collaboration with Karen Rockower Glass second sitting

Karen and I got to work on Erin's sugar skul collaboration this week.  This time we set up two stations and had Erin going back and forth between us.  It was a blast.

So many lines

I started this etching style piece this week.  I really love doing things like this. 

Bjork

I got a last minute ticket to see Bjork at Roseland.  It was amazing.  She was surrounded by 20 female singers all in cloaks like a pack of witches.  She sounded incredible,  the visual imagery was really interesting, and the crowd was completely in to it.  I felt so lucky to have been there!

Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy = fun times

I finished this hitchhikers tribute this week.  It was a lot of fun to work on.

Steak tartare a la Mrs Glass

While sharing an amazing bottle of wine with our dear friends the Glass', Karen whipped up this amazing little snack of Steak tartare with raw butter.  It was the perfect bite!
